Description

Straight Lines runs over your document or application, showing the content you were working. You have one or two straight lines that you could place wherever you want. Their measurements, ratios and angles are shown in the panels.

You could move the panels by dragging from the top bar. From this bar you could also hide all the panels, and minimize or close Straight Lines.

Barra superior

Straight Lines also could be minimized if you click on the semi-transparent background.

Information panels:

  • Distance Distance

Shows the length of the line or lines you are using. The unit of length could be changed.

  • Ratio Ratio

This panel will only appear if you are using two lines. In that case, show the ratio between them, and also give information about relevant ratios commonly used in graphic design.

  • Angle Angle

This panel is displayed if at least one line is oblique, i.e. without being locked horizontally or vertically. Shows the angle between the line and the horizontal plane, and having two lines which is the angle between them.

Configuration panels:

  • Number of lines Number of lines

Here you could choose one or two lines. To calculate ratios is required to select two lines.

  • Orientation Orientation

For ease of use, the lines may be locked horizontally or vertically. To calculate angles or measure oblique lines we must select free.

  • Units of length Units of length

You could measure the length in pixels, centimeters or inches. In the latter two cases, used for printing, you also indicate the resolution (dots per inch) with which you work.

  • Colors Colors

To work with higher contrast, you could customize both the color of the lines and the background opacity.

  • Monitor Monitor

This panel only appears if you have multiple monitors. Simply reports that you could change the display using the arrow keys.
